The Department of Communication at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level to begin August 2020.  The successful candidate will possess the ability to teach courses in Digital Film Production, Screenwriting, Documentary and/or Sports Multi-Camera Production at the undergraduate level.  MFA or Ph.D. required (ABD with evidence that completion of the dissertation is imminent will be considered).  The teaching load is 2-3 and while the Department and the University have a very strong focus and long tradition of outstanding teaching, the successful candidate will also be expected to produce creative work and/or scholarship in the film and TV discipline. 

The Department of Communication has approximately 600 majors and offers specialization in the following tracks: Organizational Communication, Strategic Communication, Leadership Communication, Media Studies, Digital Filmmaking and Media Arts, Sports Communication, and General Communication.  You may find the departmental website at:
