FMA Workflow Coordinator

Position Description: Oversees student and departmental project evolution from production through postproduction leading to final output for theatrical and streaming presentation. Tutors and mentors students through the school's production software system that integrates equipment access, faculty approvals, crewing, casting and budgeting. Aids students in the acquisition of location insurance and permitting needs for shooting on the University campus, in the city of Cleveland and remote locations. Acting as a professional liaison with numerous internal and external constituents including but not limited to: the School of Film & Media Arts, the Cleveland State University, the City of Cleveland, Playhouse Square and the Greater Cleveland Film Commission using strong interpersonal skills. Aids faculty, students, and staff in the successful completion of complex and simple student projects as they make their way from pre-production through production, post-production and final output for public exhibition and student portfolio inclusion. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications: BA or BFA in a media related field or BA plus three to five years' experience in media related position. Evidence of strong software skills and a deep understanding of the film production and post production processes. Evidence of a working familiarity with industry standard production and postproduction software and outputs for distribution. Evidence of personnel management and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications: An MFA in film. Evidence of professional experience in digital cinema production. Evidence of previous higher education experience. Knowledge of industry standard software, such as Pro Tools, Aftereffects, Nuke, Final Cut, Avid Nexis Media Servers, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve Studio and Movie Magic Scheduler.
