The program in Cinema and Media Arts at Vanderbilt University invites applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track, in film and digital media production, with a 2-2 teaching assignment. Areas of expertise may include, but are not limited to: fiction and non-fiction modes of production, animation, and experimental and hybrid media forms.

Candidates must hold an MFA or equivalent terminal degree, have evidence of teaching effectiveness, and demonstrate a commitment to promoting diverse perspectives.  Ideal candidates will have an active creative practice, have college-level teaching experience, and be conversant in contemporary media theory and history. In addition to courses in their areas of specialization, the candidate will teach the core production courses in the major, work with students on immersive learning projects, and contribute to the interdisciplinary mission of the program.
